Jodi Fuchs is a self-taught painter living and working in Santa Monica, California in an old mechanics' hangar with a community of artists. Her education about color and pattern came on the job while working as a decorative painter for almost 20 years. She has painted movie sets, the homes of many celebrities, spa and resort properties, and practically every home she has ever lived in. Several of her projects have been published in Architectural Digest. As a result of painting surfaces to look old and weathered, Jodi's paintings often connote a sense of history. Layered and complex color fields provide the perfect backdrop for more refined imagery. Jodi has a strong interest in the healing arts and has completed certification programs in massage therapy, feng shui and Kundalini yoga. When asked how she describes her art, Jodi says, “My paintings could be described as visionary abstracts. They are spontaneous explorations into what is currently fascinating me. Sometimes that is a concept (the poetics of breath, connection, chaos, yearning, expansion, love, divinity). Sometimes it's an image (lotus flowers, circles, targets, stripes). I like to see what happens in the moment."

"Trend-setting, Imaginative, Mod, Colourful." As a unique fine art print resource, Poems continues to embrace contemporary art and artists. Poems are passionate about art and work closely with the artists they publish always looking for something unique either in colour, subject matter or treatment. The concept of "Poems" originated from a philosophy that art is poetry for the eye and stirs feeling, just as words entice the ear. Every piece of art is produced by an artist with a measure of passion.
