The Artist: Karsten Kirchner
Karsten Kirchner studied graphic design in Munich before going on to manage a successful advertising design studio for several years. Today he is a freelance designer and devotes all his time to his art. As a painter Karsten uses his natural surroundings to inspire his work whether it is in the creation of a flower motif in soft, muted colours, a still life composition or a golden landscape bathed in sunshine. His paintings are full of expression and his highly textural style creates a warmth and gentleness in his work.
